The distance from Matale Aluvihara to this place is 08 km.

From the Divilla road junction on the Kurunegala road in Matale, after about 04km on the Walawela road, turn left at the Deniya junction and pass the Agricultural Service Center and you will come across this place.

Unaweruwa Traditional Sesat Village located in Unaweruwa Domain can be introduced as another special tourist spot belonging to Yatawatta Divisional Secretariat Division of Matale District.

Unaweruwa Sesat Village, a traditional handicraft village, is a traditional sesat-making village where a group of one of the 18 castes who came to Sri Lanka when Sri Maha Bodhi came to visit Sri Lanka.

Currently, the world’s only Sesat design village is also doing Laksha design.
