Near the Rattota Town, there is a Natural pool in the Daliwala Oya called ‘Rajanganaya’.  It is said that monks came to this place to bathe, and a rock staircase was carved into the rock to descend to the blue pool.  Folk legend says that the village area was called ‘Rahathun Hadu Thota’ (the bathing place made by the Arahats/Monks), which later became Raththota.
