Pitawala Pathana (Pitawala Plains) can be described as a place that has attracted the attention of local and foreign tourists. Pitawala Pathana (Pitawala Plains) is a unique biological ecosystem. A large number of creatures and plants that are native to the Knuckles Forest Reserve and are invisible to the naked eye are found here. Creatures and plants such as the rock frog, the Pathan ala, the blue peacock, and the kadulassa are native to this ecosystem. There is a frequent gentle breeze here, and at certain times of the year this gentle breeze becomes very strong. Because of this, the trees growing here take on a dwarf nature and appear in the form of bonsai trees at first glance. Small water springs are active in places during the rainy season. The Pathan area is spread out like a mountain peak and is covered with grass almost everywhere. It is the responsibility of all of us who visit it to enjoy its beauty and use it in a way that does not destroy it.
