Brandigala can be introduced as another unique place belonging to the Daluwela Grama Niladhari Division of the Yatawatta Divisional Secretariat Division of the Matale District. This Brandigala is located on the border separating the Yatawatta and Ukuwela Divisional Secretariat Divisions. Also, this place, located in the middle of a beautiful tea estate, is a place that attracts tourists with its beautiful surroundings and various species of animals and plants.
In the past, a group of foreigners drank brandy at this place, so it was called Brandigala. It is also said in folklore that there is a place where two rocks are located close together and when they speak loudly from that place, a harsh voice emanates, so it became known as Barundigala and later this became known as Brandigala.
